In August 2004 the US Postal Service issued a 10-stamp block commemorating American Indian art. A sandstone Ancestor figure that was held in the Frank H. McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture’s collections was one of the items included. A special cancellation of the stamp was held at the McClung Museum a day following the official issuance of the block.
