In 2008 the UT Alumni Association announced that beginning in 2009 it would provide opportunities for alumni from all campuses to save 15 to 20 percent on the cost of home and automobile insurance coverage, with travel insurance to follow shortly thereafter. In a competitive bid process, the initial provider of the insurance was Collegiate Insurance Resources, which was part of USI Affinity. Auto and home insurance was offered through Liberty Mutual, and travel insurance was offered through USI Affinity’s Travel Services Division.
