All American Football League Slated to Play Home Games at Neyland Stadium

In October 2007 the All American Football League announced that one of its six teams would play home games in Neyland Stadium beginning April 13. The proposed league was to combine a professional pay structure with the requirement that all players be college graduates. It postponed its launch to the spring of 2008 but cancelled the 2008 season a month before kickoff, suspending the launch until 2009. The league continued to postpone the launch, with the most recent postponement in February 2010. The rent to be charged per game at Neyland Stadium was $500,000.
