The Zipcar car-sharing service debuted on the UT Knoxville campus on February 21, 2013, with two cars: a Ford Focus and a Honda Civic. Initially, the $35 annual membership fee for students was waived and the cost to reserve a car was $7.50 an hour or $69 per day for up to four days.
