Yee-Haw Industries was a partnership of Bryan Kevin Bradley, who attended UT from 1988 to 1993, and Julia Eileen Belcher, BFA 1986 (and also MFA from New York’s School of Visual Arts). It was a letterpress art print shop and creative studio that produced unique, art-like products that received worldwide acclaim. Yee-Haw’s work was selected for inclusion in PRINT magazine’s Regional Design Annual for 11 consecutive years and was reviewed and featured by the Washington Post, AIGA Journal, FSB Fortune Small Business, Southern Living, Esquire, and American Illustration 21. Its work was published in The Art of Modern Rock, the Poster Explosion. Yee-Haw did fine illustration, as well as design and letterpress, for RRL—Ralph Lauren, the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, Mountain Stage radio show, the Wall Street Journal, Jack Daniel’s, MTV2, and the Cartoon Network. The studio collaborated with the National Gallery of Art to design and produce a unique line of Dada merchandise, available exclusively at the National Gallery for the duration of the 2006 Dada exhibition. Belcher has served as a designer and art director for Whittle Communications publications, Seventeen magazine, and Blue Note Records. Bradley studied graphic design and painting and experimented with printmaking at UT. The company closed in 2012, and the UT Libraries subsequently acquired a set of its work.
