Wyrd was formed in 1994 as a forum for people with common interests such as literature or gaming, sorcery or swords, spaceships and anime. It is a haven for lovers of oft-forgotten sci-fi and fantasy genres—a social club that watches movies and has outings to Laser Quest. On movie nights, the group watches two movies along with an episode of the anime series of the semester.
