In July 1999 the College of Engineering signed an agreement with Pellissippi State Community College that provided that students from Pellissippi could take technical electives in engineering and courses in maintenance and reliability. The program provided greater transfer opportunities for Pellissippi students and offered them opportunities to intern with a variety of corporate partners of the Maintenance and Reliability Center.
