Thalia Literary Society

The Thalia Literary Society was the new name of the Women’s Literary Society when it was reorganized and renamed in 1920. On November 8 the society adopted a motto, “Learn to live and live to learn;” a flower, iris; and colors, purple and white. The society faded from existence in 1929, although the university catalog continued to list (and tout) it through 1932.
