In 1966, when UT acquired its first 20-passenger plane, UT also employed a stewardess and had employed a second stewardess by 1969. Employed were Jerry Nelson, a former Piedmont Airlines stewardess and wife of a Piedmont pilot, and Nancy Huskey, a former American Airlines stewardess who worked part time around her job as a dental hygienist. The stewardesses served meals catered by local restaurants, consisting usually of a box lunch, cookies, candy bars, and beverages. They did not have uniforms but usually wore something orange.
