Jennifer Santoro

Jennifer Santoro Stanley was one of 32 Rhodes scholars chosen from a field of 1,256 applicants in 1994. She completed her political science undergraduate work at UT in three years and, before completing the bachelor’s, studied at the London School of Economics, where she earned the master’s in economics with a concentration in international political economy. She received the bachelor’s degree in 1995. Santoro was a member of the charter class of Whittle Scholars. While at UT, she was involved with the Student Government Association, Student Conduct Board, Mock Trial, Vol Hostess, and Delta Delta Delta sorority. In April 1995 the Tennessee House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring her, and she addressed the House, thanking them for the honor and for their commitment to public education in Tennessee. She received a standing ovation. With her Rhodes Scholarship, she studied toward a PhD in politics at Oxford University.

She spent eight years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company as an expert in sales-force and channel management before founding her own consulting company, OX1. The company provides strategic assistance to marketing and sales professionals through training programs, individual coaching, and tailored improvement programs. She has led global training programs in marketing and sales and has managed several teams focused on such issues as growth strategy, sales and marketing effectiveness, and organizational change. She has served on the board of visitors of the College of Arts and Sciences.
