Neyland Stadium—POW/MIA Flag

The Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Flag flew at Neyland Stadium for the first time November 21, 2009, for the Vanderbilt game. Marty Everett, an air force veteran who worked as an usher at the stadium suggested flying the flag. The Athletics Department decided to fly it first at the Vanderbilt game because the Pride of the Southland Band was performing a patriotic tribute during halftime.
