Eta Sigma Gamma, a student organization for health science majors, joined the American Social Health Association in observing National Condom Day on February 14, 2002. Members of Eta Gamma Sigma distributed literature and brochures about sexually transmitted diseases and offered passersby free condoms. National Condom Day had its beginnings in 1975 when a group of Berkeley students organized National Condom Week to educate students about sexually transmitted diseases.
