A clinical psychologist who earned the master’s in rehabilitation counseling from UT in 1978, Rachel Isleib worked for the State of Tennessee in Knoxville for two years and then returned to school, earning the doctorate from the University of Florida. In her first series of books, she combined her passions for golf and psychology by writing a mystery series featuring a woman scrambling to make it on the LPGA tour. The first book in the series, Six Strokes Under, was published in June 2000. In 2006 she published Deadly Advice, her sixth book and the first of her Rachel Butterman series featuring a therapist/advice columnist.
