The UT Institute of Agriculture partnered with the Society of St. Andrew, a national ecumenical organization that provides fresh produce to food shelters, and kicked off its Grow More Give More campaign to collect fresh produce to be donated to food banks in May 2013. UTIA accepted donations of fresh produce at the UT Farmers Market. The Society of St. Andrew distributed fruits and vegetables to local food banks and shelters, including Wesley House Community Center, Knoxville Area Rescue Mission, and the Love Kitchen. Any food not consumable by humans was donated to the zoo.
