Footnotes

“Footnotes” was a note-taking project of the Student Government Association begun in fall 1975. The service paid note takers, who were not enrolled in the class for which they took notes, $2 an hour to take the notes, paid for a typist, and used special paper that could not be copied. By spring 1976 the service was making a slight profit, allowing for expansion. The service allowed for subscriptions at $6.95 for the entire quarter’s notes in one of four courses: Psychology 2530, Geography 2130, Agriculture 1340, and Agriculture 3410. Single copies were additionally sold. Instructors in the courses in which notes were taken gave permission for the project.
