Hosted by the Institute of Agriculture’s Organic and Sustainable Crops Unit, the weekly farmers market at the UT Gardens began in spring 2010. The FarmHouse Club was organized at UT on February 1, 1957, for the purpose of becoming a chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity. The group petitioned the Inter-Fraternity Council for permission to affiliate with the national in 1958 but was refused. The group then petitioned the Administrative Council and was approved.
